Turn on the keyboard
- Step 01Download WingmanGet it on the App Store. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later.
- Step 02Add the keyboardSettings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Wingman AI.
- Step 03Allow Full AccessTap Wingman AI in that list and turn on Allow Full Access, so it can fetch replies.
- Step 04Use it anywhereIn any chat, hold the globe key, choose Wingman and tap ✦ AI.
Manage Wingman Pro
- Manage or cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wingman. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Restore: sign in with the same Apple ID, open Wingman and tap Restore Purchase on the Wingman Pro screen.
- Refunds: request them from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I contact Wingman support?

How do I turn on the Wingman keyboard?
Open the Settings app, go to General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, and choose Wingman AI under Third-Party Keyboards. Then open any chat, tap and hold the globe key, and pick Wingman.
What does Allow Full Access do, and do I need it?
iOS requires Full Access for any keyboard that connects to the internet. Wingman needs it to fetch AI replies. Turn it on in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Wingman AI → Allow Full Access. Wingman's privacy policy says the keyboard doesn't log your keystrokes; text is only sent when you ask for a reply.
The Wingman keyboard doesn't appear. What should I check?
Make sure Wingman is added under Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards, then use the globe key to switch to it. iOS always uses the system keyboard in password and other secure fields, and some apps block third-party keyboards. If it still doesn't appear, restart your iPhone and update Wingman from the App Store.
How do I use a suggestion?
Tap it to copy it, paste it into the message box, edit it if you like, and send. Wingman never sends anything for you.
AI replies aren't loading. How do I fix it?
Check that Allow Full Access is on for Wingman and that you're online. AI replies are part of Wingman Pro, so make sure your subscription or free trial is active. If replies still fail, close and reopen the app you're typing in, then try again.
The keyboard says "Open the Wingman app once to reconnect AI replies." What do I do?
Open the Wingman app, wait a couple of seconds, then go back and try again. Wingman regularly confirms that it's running on your iPhone, and the keyboard can't do that check on its own. You'll see this after installing or updating, and now and then if you haven't opened the app for a while.
It says "Open Wingman to refresh your subscription, then try again."
Open the Wingman app so it can re-check your subscription with Apple. If that doesn't fix it, use Restore Purchase on the Wingman Pro screen, and check under Settings > your name > Subscriptions that Wingman Pro is active.
It says "You've reached today's limit for AI replies."
Wingman Pro has a daily fair-use limit of 200 requests per device, to protect the service from abuse. It resets the next day.
How do I cancel or manage Wingman Pro?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Wingman, and cancel or change your plan. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the Apple ID you subscribed with, open Wingman, and use Restore Purchase on the Wingman Pro screen. You can check that the subscription is active under Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by Wingman. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How much does Wingman cost?
Wingman is free to download, and the keyboard itself is free in every app. AI replies are part of Wingman Pro: US$6.99 a week or US$39.99 a year in the US.
